Michaela Rayner – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

About Me

I’m a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy counsellor, with extensive experience and have been in private practice for over 25 years and I’m based in Warwick. I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment for you to explore your feelings and bring about positive change.

I work with individuals from age 14 upwards (although if its OCD I will see younger clients), with a wide range of issues including OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulty, sex and addictions and many other conditions and illnesses, with the aim of enabling you look at any dysfunctional thoughts and behaviours and help to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

I specialise in all forms of OCD and not only help people who have it or feel that they may have it, but carers, friends or relatives of someone with or suspected of having OCD as it can affect all those close to a person with OCD. I have a very personal and special story and experience with my daughter who has severe OCD, she was diagnosed at 8 years old and now in her thirties. Together we learnt how to take control of the OCD and manage it and life better. I truly understand the disorder and have a very comprehensive and empathic insight to how it affects people and how disabling it can be and feel. I help others to take control of it too, to understand it, to be able to talk to someone who truly “gets it” and knows what it feels like. Together we take control and find ways to be able to live with it
